  Results Week 27 2023-24

  The Masons Arms had an earth-shattering result this week beating Bakers Arms B 9-0! This was the first whitewash in the Main League this season.

  Meanwhile in the Beer League, Plough Inn A scored a 3-0 against Brown Jack A.

  Both of these results were significant due to Bakers Arms B being in second position in the Main League, and Brown Jack A being in first position in the Beer League. But more on that later.

  League Update Week 27 2023-24

  End of season nerves seem to have affected the top of the league tables…

  Last week the Blue Boar were just 3 games ahead of Bakers Arms B, and with a marginal win of 5-4 this week against Brown Jackettes, there was the potential for Bakers Arms B to inch closer to first position… if they could beat the Masons. But their 9-0 defeat by the Masons Arms had the opposite effect and now Blue Boar are an almost untouchable 8 points in the lead.

  

  Brown Jack A got a scare this week as in order to ensure they win the beer league they needed just one point… but Plough Inn A made sure they didn’t get it, winning against them 3-nil!

  It was then down to the other teams to narrow the gap between them and first position enough so that they could catch Brown Jack A next week – but fortunately for Brown Jack A, no team managed to do so!

  Results Week 26 2023-24

  Red Lion Buddies have been having a tough time in the Main League over the last few weeks, losing 1-8 to the Blue Boar and then 2-7 to the Blue Boar Piglets. So it was nice to see them get 8-1 against Carter’s Rest this week to redress the balance.

  League Update Week 26 2023-24

  As we near the end of the season, who is vying for first position in the league tables is getting very interesting…

  In the Main League, Blue Boar and Bakers Arms B have held the top two positions for the last 7 weeks, with Blue Boar in the lead for the last five. With two matches left this season for both teams, can Bakers Arms B regain the lead?

  

  Bakers Arms A may be in second place in the Beer League, but they have only one match left to play, while most of the other teams have at least two. Who Brown Jack A’s main rivals are will be a lot clearer next week, but it’s also possible that Brown Jack A could remain more than 3 points ahead going into the last match, so next week is crucial!
